Making sense of our world with our Senses

Today we started learning about our Senses. First we brainstormed what our senses were and then we experienced looking at our world through the sense of feeling. We used describing words e.g.  prickly, smooth, soft, dry, hard, rough, rectangular. Then we had the opportunity to try and guess what we had felt. 

We had to listen and not tell our partner what we they were feeling.

We described what we were feeling.

Opening of the Playground

Today our long awaited playground was opened. Thanks to the support of our P.T.A and our community our playground had a makeover. There are lots of new activities to enjoy. We are very excited to finally be able to play on it.

Save the Egg Challenge

On Thursday we received a message from the Easter Bunny (EB to us), and he needed help urgently! He needed us to design a device that would protect the Easter Eggs that he would be dropping over the weekend. Last year a lot of Easter Eggs were damaged and broke when they were dropped. Room 7 with the help of Room 4 accepted this challenge and spent the afternoon devising different ways to protect the eggs.
