In our shared big book on Friday, Buster the Balloon was a giant snail. In Room 8 we made balloon snails and wrote our stories on them. Thank you to our Room 4 Buddy class for helping us to blow up the balloons.

Kahurangi Performing Arts Group

Today we were treated to a performance from the Kahurangi Performing Arts 

Group. They performed myths and iwi legends from Ngati Kahungunu. 

Making sense of our world with our Senses

Today we started learning about our Senses. First we brainstormed what our senses were and then we experienced looking at our world through the sense of feeling. We used describing words e.g.  prickly, smooth, soft, dry, hard, rough, rectangular. Then we had the opportunity to try and guess what we had felt. 

We had to listen and not tell our partner what we they were feeling.

We described what we were feeling.
