We had great fun learning and improving our cricket skills with Tim and Mitch from Manawatu Cricket.

Mr Darling came to  to teach us about fire safety. We watched a DVD and the curtain caught on fire because the candle was too close to the curtain. He showed us a smoke alarm and we learnt about how important these are to have in our homes. How many do you have in your home?

We practiced an evacuation. When there is a fire we need to: 

GET DOWN! GET LOW! GET OUT! - FAST, shouting FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! 

We had to crawl underneath a sheet (smoke) and then walk fast to our safe meeting place.

Costumes for ‘Let us Entertain you'

We would love the boys to wear black shorts (rugby style) and the girls are to wear long black leggings for our item. Could we please have these at school by Monday, ready for the dress rehearsal on Tuesday?

The school has bought t-shirts for the children to borrow on the night. See you on Thursday night 24^th Sept at 5.30pm ready to go for our show at 6pm.
